The Ned Mural, 2026
Looking in on The Arts
Having the opportunity to bring fresh energy to the exterior of The Ned, our local cultural arts center in downtown Jackson, was deeply meaningful. This contemporary mural (and the corresponding banners) serve as a vibrant peek into the heart of our local arts scene through a bold, geometric grid design. By echoing the window patterns found on both the newer and historic sides of the building, the mural acts as a visual bridge, creating a cohesive bond between the structure's two distinct architectural styles.
The color palette is both intentional and energetic. I pulled hues from The Ned’s existing signage and complemented them with punchy, saturated tones of yellow and coral, all anchored by a crisp, deep black. Within these flat fields of color, you’ll find stylized imagery that honors both the surrounding downtown landscape and the creative magic that happens inside the walls of The Ned. It is a visual celebration of where our community and the arts intersect…a statement piece meant to communicate unmistakably that this is a home for creativity, welcoming every soul who walks through its doors.
Hub City Deli Murals, 2026
Rooted in Flavor
When you walk inside Hub City Deli, you’re greeted immediately on the right by one of the two murals. They both serve as a celebration of the simple, grounding beauty of real food. Each of the murals measure about 19 feet long, and bring the outdoors inside…wrapping the dining space in a cozy, palette of vibrant blues, lush garden greens, and rich, earthy yellows and browns. The artwork is a stylized mix of the very ingredients that sustain us. As you eat, you can spot everything from familiar rosemary, basil, and spinach to the striking, intricate leaf patterns of okra, Swiss chard, Cuban oregano, and amaranth.
The main wall captures a sense of quiet morning, ethereal greenhouse energy…with warm sun rays filtering directly through the giant, stylized vegetation to create a bright and welcoming backdrop. Move over to the left corner of the restaurant, and the story continues inside a rounded archway. Here, the sun rays return, but they serve as more of a backdrop with a subtle, textured woven pattern interspersed throughout which is a nod to the deli’s notable hanging light fixtures. It’s a thoughtful design detail that connects the art directly to the atmosphere of the room. Together, these pieces turn Hub City deli wall into a vibrant, living ecosystem, reminding us of the beautiful connection between the land, the kitchen, and the community.
B3 Creative Agency Mural, 2025
Where Creativity Grows
This 100 foot long (1200 sq ft!) mural lives on the side of B3 Creative Agency’s new home in the heart of downtown Jackson, TN. It is a love letter to this city, its history, its people, and its landscape.
The design weaves together elements that reflect Jackson’s rich cultural identity… from iconic local architecture to deep agricultural roots, to its well known music legacy. The arches that bookend the mural were inspired by our beautiful mid century modern public library, and act like visual parentheses to this whole story.
You’ll find sunflowers, corn stalks, soybean leaves, and crimson clover (yes, like the song!) all nods to Tennessee’s farming heritage and the land that sustains us. The crimson clover, in particular, is a symbol of growth, resilience, and preparation…a cover crop that enriches the soil for what's to come.
There are musical instruments tucked throughout the mural, and a very special nod to Carl Perkins. His iconic glasses appear front and center, honoring both Jackson’s music scene and the building’s former life as Muller Optical.
You’ll also spot three lightning bolts (blue, yellow, and pink) strategically placed throughout the mural. They’re a symbolic (and slightly electric!) nod to B3 Creative Agency’s brand and their creative work. One of the most fun moments of this process was a group brainstorming session with the B3 team…ideas flew, and this mural wouldn’t be what it is without their energy and openness.
To the right side of the mural, a moon quietly balances out all the sun-filled moments, reminding us that growth happens in the quiet, too.
This was the most fun I’ve ever had making art. Working on a scale like this is wild, challenging, and exhilarating. Thank you to B3 for trusting my vision, and to the Jackson community for being so kind, encouraging, and proud of this city we all love.
Dixie Corporate Art Collection, 2024
In 2024, I had the amazing chance to create a vibrant, five-piece art collection for the brand-new Dixie plant in Jackson, Tennessee! The theme was Community Table, and it came to life through three round canvases and two large square paintings. Each painting showcased the beauty of hands coming together to share a meal. The artwork celebrated the rich history of Dixie plates, featuring designs from over the years, making it a colorful tribute to the evolution of the iconic paper plate. This collection now graces the walls of Dixie’s state-of-the-art break room, where employees get to enjoy the artwork daily. Dixie has created a beautifully encouraging, inclusive and friendly place to work at their new plant. I am truly honored to have my work on display in such a special place.
Starbucks Art Commission, 2023
In 2023, I had the opportunity to create a custom painting for the new Starbucks in downtown Jackson, Tennessee. For this piece, we drew inspiration from the natural beauty of coffee berries and plants—an especially meaningful choice since nature is a constant theme in my work. The artwork features deep, rich background tones that complement Starbucks' signature colors, while the vibrant green coffee leaves and bold magenta berries create a fun, striking contrast. The radiating background pattern adds movement and depth to the piece, giving it a sense of energy and connection. You can see it in person at their downtown location: 203 N Highland Avenue in Jackson.
